Radnor Hunt Starter Horse Trials

This is the inaugural year of the RHSHT! Please join us on the 11th for a fun day of competition-all the same Radnor charm now running as a starter HT!

  • When: Saturday, October 11th
  • Where: Radnor Hunt 824 Providence Road Malvern
  • Levels: Elementary, Starter, Beginner Novice HT as well as Combined Tests at the same levels
  • Dressage will be run in the pony club ring; show jumping in the indoor; cross country in the In Field (no water jump)
  • The show jumping course will be designed by Jen Racey and the cross country course will be designed by Missy Ransehousen
  • Attire is relaxed but safe; half chaps & paddock boots permitted. Safety vests and medical arm bands are mandatory for CC. No pelhams, kimberwicks, gags etc. for dressage. 
  • All courses (both SJ & CC)  will be very straight forward and inviting to green horses and riders; jumping phases will not be timed
  • Trailer parking will be on site 
  • Ribbons through 6th place for both the full horse trial and the combined tests; prizes for the winners and goodie bags 
  • We will be offering special awards through out the day as well one of which will be best turned out
  • Food will be available for purchase on site

We will be offering cross country schooling over the competition course on Friday, October 10th from 1pm-5pm for $60 per horse/rider combination. You must sign up ahead of time and pay as space will be limited due to the show the next day. For everyone who has paid for cross country schooling the day before, we will also be offering FREE rides in the indoor on the same afternoon. Never been to our indoor? No problem! Come school a few jumps in the indoor to acclimate your horse before the show the next day. We want everyone to have a fun, and rewarding experience! Scratch/Refund Policy-no refunds will be issued after the closing date other than if a competitor accidentally enters (and pays) twice or your horse passes away. Office fees and Event Entries fees are non refundable; only entry fees.
